In accordance with the requirements of the Energy Law Act of 10 April 1997. (Journal of Laws 2012.1059) it is the municipality’s duty to prepare a draft of assumptions for the plan for the supply of heat, electricity and gaseous fuels.  The draft assumptions are drawn up for the area of the commune for at least 15 years and updated at least once every 3 years.

The need to prepare an update of assumptions to the plan for the supply of heat, electricity and gaseous fuels results from Article 19 (2) of the Energy Law Act of 10 April 1997 (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2012, item 1059, of 2013, item 984 and item 1238, of 2014, item 457, item 490, item 900, item 942 and item 1101) and should be implemented at least once every three years.

In accordance with the requirements of the Energy Law Act, the update of assumptions to the plan for the supply of heat, electricity and gas fuels includes:

→ assessment of the current state and expected changes in demand for heat, electricity and gaseous fuels,

→ measures to rationalise the use of heat, electricity and gaseous fuels,

→ opportunities to use existing surpluses and local resources of fuels and energy, including electricity and heat produced from renewable energy sources, electricity and useful heat produced in cogeneration and the management of waste heat from industrial installations,

→ scope of cooperation with other municipalities.
